Sprouts: Birth - 2 Years Old

Our Sprouts ministry exists to plant the first seeds of God's love in the hearts of children from Birth to 2 years.

We are happy to serve your family as you worship together at Christ’s Church. We believe a child begins to form an impression of the church at a very early age. It is our desire to provide quality care and a loving, secure environment for your child.

We have three nursery rooms

PLANT |  Birth to about 1 years old (until walking steadily)
"He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season, and whose leaf does not wither."   -  Psalm 1:3

WATER  |  One year (Toddlers)
"Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."  -  John 7:38

GROW   |  Two years
“…live a life worthy of the Lord …bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God."  -  Colossians 1:10

Toddlers and Twos classrooms have age-appropriate curriculum, craft activity, music/singing and Bible lessons.

checking in

We use KidCheck, a web-based check-in system. Once you’ve registered for an account at kidcheck.com, you will check in at a kiosk for each visit. Kidcheck allows you to determine who can pick your children. Place the label with child’s name on your child, and keep the guardian receipt. Bring your child to the nursery and fill out a care card with information we’ll need for your child’s visit (recommended for children under one year). There’s room to stow diaper bags, bottles, and car seats, etc at our counter. Your child may cry when left with us, but this shows a healthy preference for parents, and usually stops within a few minutes. You are welcome to visit your child’s classroom anytime. Please check in with the service supervisor.

If your child needs you during the service, you’ll receive a text message from Kidcheck with a note from us. Please return to the nursery promptly.

health & safety

To help ensure a comfortable nursery environment, we have a “Well Child Policy.” Children will not be allowed in the nursery if they have any of the following symptoms or illnesses:

  • Fever within the last 24 hours, rash, coughing or diarrhea.
  • Any contagious illnesses such as chicken pox, measles, mumps, and pink eye.
  • If your child is being treated for antibiotics, he/she should be on medication for at least 24 hours before coming into the nursery.
  • Head lice – must be nit free upon arrival.
  • If your child has a continually clear runny nose or rash due to non-contagious allergies, please let us know. We realize some symptoms linger after the child is no longer contagious.

We are unable to give or apply ANY medication, including applying diaper ointment.

We have practiced emergency building evacuation procedures. In the event of an evacuation, the nursery staff would take children from the building, along with a nursery roster. Parents would meet children in the parking lot south of the modular buildings.

supplies

Please label and bring in your diaper bag:
Disposable diapers
Pacifier with clip
Extra change of clothes
Bottles if needed (pre-measured)
Comfort item
If your child has food allergies, please provide a favorite snack.

diapering & potty Training

Children staying one service will be changed only if they’ve soiled their diaper. Children staying two services will be changed during the second service. We are happy to assist potty training children and have easy access to a restroom in our 2’s classroom. However, you will be contacted via Kidcheck text to change your child if he/she has an accident.

checking out

We appreciate your patience during check out times. All your child’s items will be available on the nursery counter. Please have your guardian tag ready to be matched to your child’s nametag. Please pick up your child within 10 minutes at the end of service.
