A God-honoring Response
One of the saddest verses in the Bible is when Moses wrote “The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart” (Genesis 6:6). What grieved the Lord’s heart is what should be grieving our hearts as sin continues to grow in its public expression and
personal conviction.
As Christ’s church, we understand what it means to be rescued and delivered from the destructive and devastating effects of sin. We also understand that we are called to stand up for the redeeming and restoring righteousness of God. As the body of Christ, we are salt and light which moves us to promote both God’s universal truth as well as defend His wholesome standard in a spirit of grace and humility. The following responses honor the God who created us in His image and designed the institution of marriage to be a blessing to the family, community and society at large.
