JENNY (Batty) EISENHUT
Jenny has served with Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) since 1986. Initially Jenny joined CCC because she was interested in being trained in evangelism and discipleship. Since those first 2 years of training, Jenny has spent three summers in SE Asia; 9½ years in Bellingham at Western Washington University; 4 years in Salt Lake City on the SLC Metro Team; 1 year as the Associate Catalytic Director for the NW region; 5 years in Russia; along with many summer projects, spring break trips, training conferences, and leadership retreats.
Jenny is currently serving in another role at the CCC Portland Regional Office as a Human Resource associate with emphasis on International Staff. She has been in this role for the past 5 years. Her strengths and experience in mentoring and coaching students and staff have expanded in her responsibilities of caring for CCC staff all over the world.
Jenny got married to Daniel Eisenhut in Oct 2011.
Words from Jenny’s Director (Sep 2011):
My name is Steve Ellisen and I work as the Leadership Development National Director in the Greater Northwest Region of Campus Crusade for Christ, (CRU). The purpose of my writing is to share my thoughts regarding Jenny Batty and her exciting future.
I have known and worked with Jenny, on staff with CRU, over the last 23 years. I have been consistently challenged by her heart for the Lord and her walk of faith as she has followed Jesus and His mission in many locations.
I have personally worked with Jenny while she served at Western Washington University, and then while Jenny served in Utah, I knew of her ministry as I led the ministry at her Alma Madder, the University of Oregon. During Jenny’s five years in Siberia, I was able to visit her twice and to see first hand the good work that she and her team were doing in reaching Russian students for Christ.
Over the last five years, Jenny has served in the Greater Northwest Regional Office in the role of ICS coordinator and Sending Associate. Because of Jenny’s unique experiences while on staff, she does a fantastic job of ministering to and shepherding our “International Campus Staff” as they serve and minister in foreign settings. Jenny also is very gifted and effective at facilitating our process of evaluating and accepting our numerous applicants that apply each year with CRU.
Needless to say, I have high personal regard for Jenny as a co-laborer in ministry, and a gifted and effective minister of the gospel to all she comes in contact with.
Over the last couple of years, what has been so fun to watch has been to see how the Lord has brought Jenny and Daniel together and has called them to marriage. I am thrilled for them and grateful for their future together.
What is true of their relationship is that they both have established career paths and that they both desire to serve the Lord in their present career choices, and also to complement each other as their lives come together.
As I think about the future of the Leadership Development effort in the Greater Northwest, with CRU, I am convinced that Jenny Batty is a huge part of our ability to continue to move forward. A word that we use to describe someone like Jenny is “Mission Critical”. She provides great leadership and effective work to the overall mission of CRU. I appreciate so much your support of Jenny in the past and am grateful for your continued support of her so she can continue the good work with CRU into the future.
