Pastor Steve has a passion for expressing his love of Christ creatively. He encourages people of all ages to utilize the gifts and talents they have been given to serve in the body.   The Worship Arts Ministry consists of Worship Teams, Choir, Orchestra, Band, Special Music, Drama, and the Puppet Ministry. Pastor Steve also coordinates the use of technology to enhance the worship experience and to provide the messages in audio/video format for use outside of the Worship Service.

Family Info (spouse, children): Married to Carrie June 28, 1997. Four children: Twins Aubrey Jane and Austin Joel (born year 2000), Alister John (’06) and Aria Joy (’08).

Education: Contra Costa Community; Western Baptist Bible College (now Corban
University).

Ministry Passion(s): Loving God and people, seeing people grow in their love for the Scriptures and ministering to one another with caring love, great music that praises the Lord!

Hobbies/Leisure Time Activities: Playing with the kids on the trampoline, time atGran and Grandpa’s lake place, wave runners.

Kodak moment: Mangle kids in a tickle fight.

What makes me sad? glad? mad? Sad: Suffering and loss by church families; Glad: New babies. Mad: compromising Christians getting public airwave time.

Current Favorite Verse:  “But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved.”  Ephesians 2:4,5.  Verse 1 of Ephesians 2 makes the proclamation “...you were dead” in your sins.  Because of and only because of God’s amazing grace and His rich, abundant mercy, we are now ALIVE as Jesus is alive from the dead.
