Ever Feel Like Your Attempts Aren't Working?

Ever feel like your attempts to be a faithful witness aren't working? Ever get discouraged by the seeming lack of response from those you are trying to reach?

Watch this brief, but powerful testimony from Ben Malcomson about how God worked in the midst of what appeared to be futile attempts to be a faithful gospel witness. REMEMBER how sovereign and faithful our God is to take the seeds we plant and use them to make an eternal difference. God has not called us to be successful with the gospel, but to be faithful with the gospel. We don't convert a person's heart, God does and He wants to use us to be instruments of gospel communication.

NOTE Jesus’ insightful words in Matthew 13:18-23 which teach us to expect various responses from people when we throw gospel seeds. Some will respond positively to the gospel: “Hear then the parable of the sower. 19) When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road. 20) The one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21) yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away. 22) And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 23) And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.”

We each do our part, and we are amazed at what God can do with that!
