DISCERNMENT FILTER: FORGIVE YOURSELF (TIM CHALLIES)

KATRINA: This week we are continuing our discussion on discernment. I so appreciated what Kristy Henry shared at the Gathering. She said that several people gave her advise and books to read after the death of her brother and that many of them were not biblical. The unsound counsel brought confusion and difficulty but the sound counsel brought comfort. She was practicing discernment when she separated the sound doctrine from the unsound doctrine. In order to grow in Christ likeness we need to exercise discernment. We are bombarded each day with lots of information and we need to separate the truth from error. The article this week is a discernment filter to help us in this process.

Next week we will begin the focus on doctrinal topics where discernment is needed and where we find sound doctrine – the Bible. The Bible is so important as it is our plumb line.
