Jesus Saves us From our Enemies (Matthew 27-28; John 19-20)
Read & Discuss
In the 1980 Winter Olympics, the U.S. hockey team played the powerful Russian team who had won every gold medal for 16 straight years! As the final buzzer sounded and the U.S. team claimed victory, announcer Al Michaels shouted, “Do you believe in miracles? Yes!” While winning a game actually isn’t a miracle, the resurrection of Jesus is the greatest miracle of all time! Three days after Jesus’ death and burial, the angel said “He is not here. He has risen!” And those who trust in Jesus have forgiveness of their sins and eternal life, and we can now joyfully obey Him. This is the miracle from God, that we can know that we have eternal life (1 John 5:13). Happy Easter!

Prayer
Ask God for the privilege of sharing Jesus Christ with one person this week. Remember that it is the Holy Spirit that reveals to each person their need for a Savior, to be forgiven of their sins and to have peace with God. Pray for a person by name if you know God is leading you to share with them.
