The Story of Ruth (Ruth 1-4)
Read & Discuss
Can you imagine what it would be like to be deep inside a cave with no flashlight? Heavy darkness in an unlit cave is an example of what it means to feel alone and how scary that can be! Naomi felt this loneliness without a husband, sons, and having just two daughters-in-law. But Ruth said to Naomi “Where you go, I will go…and your God will be my God.” Ruth’s decision to follow Naomi was also a decision to trust and follow the one true God. God brought Boaz together with Ruth and Naomi, and their family was blessed in many incredible ways. Boaz cared for Ruth and Naomi. In a greater way, Jesus is our Redeemer and we are adopted into God’s family through the gift of Jesus and forgiveness of our sins.

Place this card on your kitchen table and at meals read aloud Philippians 4:19, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer
Thank God for your family and how God has provided for you through them. Also, thank God for the forgiveness of sins He provides through Jesus, and how He welcomes us to His family.
