Coral Hileman
Administrative Assistant
Coral Hileman was born in San Luis Obispo, California, and grew up in a Christian family with her parents, one sister, and two brothers. Most of her childhood was spent in Morro Bay, CA, where much of her family still resides. In 2016, she felt God calling her to relocate to Federal Way, WA, where her youngest brother and his family lived at the time. Though they have since moved to Montana, Coral has found a new family in Christ’s Church. She firmly believes that God has done amazing things in her life and that she is exactly where He wants her to be, fulfilling His calling. She began her journey at CCFW in February 2017 and continues to serve passionately.
Coral’s faith journey began at an early age. Growing up in church and serving alongside her family, she always believed in the existence of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. However, it wasn’t until she was 11 years old at camp that she truly realized she was a lost sinner in need of salvation. God showed her that faith wasn’t inherited—she needed to make a personal decision to follow Christ. She repented, accepted, and believed in Jesus Christ as God's one and only Son, who was born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect, sinless life, was crucified for the sins of the world, was buried, and rose again three days later. She publicly declared her faith through baptism on Easter in 1993.
God has given Coral a deep passion for Children's Ministry, teaching, drama, and directing in Awana. She finds joy in creating drama costumes and props and spends much of her free time at church. When not serving, she enjoys reading, watching movies and TV shows, Bible journaling, writing, and exploring genealogy through DAR.
Coral is deeply moved by the pain of others, which makes her sad, while serving her church family brings her immense joy. Some of her favorite things include books like Sherlock Holmes, Lord of the Rings, The Armor of God for Kids, and Dangerous Calling. She especially enjoys the books of Romans, Acts, and Philippians in the Bible. Her favorite childhood memories include climbing trees, camping, and kayaking in the bay. When it comes to food, she loves Cajun, Thai, and pizza. Her musical tastes range from Christian and New Orleans jazz to country music (a guilty pleasure she jokes about hiding from Pastor Jeff). Some of her top movies include Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, mainly for the costumes. She enjoys TV shows like Elementary, Doctor Who, British cozy mysteries, and K-dramas. While not much of a sports fan, she cheers for any Seattle team.
For getaways, Coral’s favorite Northwest destination is Lakeside Bible Camp. When dining out locally, she enjoys Bourbon Street in Puyallup. Through all her interests and passions, Coral remains steadfast in her calling and love for serving others, knowing she is right where God wants her to be.
