Dee Dee Fraga
Administrative Assistant
Dee Dee Fraga was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, where she grew up in a loving home with her parents and three older brothers. She was saved at the age of six at Temple Baptist Church, where church life played a significant role in shaping her faith and love for the Lord. She graduated from Tacoma Baptist Schools and went on to earn an Associate's Degree from Corban University in 1976. Later, while working for Tacoma Public Schools, she pursued further education and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a minor in Business from Liberty University in 2012.
In 1973, Dee Dee met Oscar Fraga at Tacoma Baptist Schools, and they married in 1977. They were blessed with four daughters—Kristin, Kari, Emily, and Carly—who have since married and expanded their family with three sons-in-law and nine grandchildren. Dee Dee and Oscar enjoyed 47 years of marriage before his passing in November 2024.
Dee Dee has been part of Christ’s Church since 2016, where she serves with passion in Children's Ministry, Life Groups, Hospitality, and Women's Ministry. She finds great joy in entertaining friends and family, and she loves creative activities such as sewing, cake decorating, and various crafts. An outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys gardening, hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, walking, and camping. Among her favorite travel destinations, Montana holds a special place in her heart, as she frequently visits her daughter, son-in-law, and three of her grandchildren there.
A lover of books, Dee Dee enjoys historical novels, mysteries, and Christian devotional readings. Her favorite book of the Bible is Philippians, and she cherishes childhood memories of camping trips at Sun Lakes and road trips to visit cousins near Disneyland. She has a sweet tooth for milk chocolate with caramel and enjoys Christian music by Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, and CeCe Winans. When it comes to movies, she loves adventures and mysteries, including Star Wars. Her favorite TV show is All Creatures Great and Small, and as a dedicated Seahawks and Huskies fan, she embraces her family's passion for sports. Her favorite Northwest getaway is Cannon Beach, and she enjoys dining at Balcon Express on 6th Ave in Tacoma, which is owned by her oldest daughter and son-in-law.
Dee Dee values peaceful, loving, and godly relationships and finds joy in uplifting conversations. She feels sadness when witnessing conflict between people and becomes frustrated by mean-spirited or unloving behavior. Through it all, her faith and love for the Lord continue to guide her in her journey.
