Tami Caban was born in Auburn, WA, and began attending Christ’s Church in Federal Way in 2006. She has four children—Trevor (1987), Trinity (1989), Travis (1991), and Tyler (1993)—and is a proud grandmother to six grandkids. Her journey to faith began after a difficult season in her life, when a coworker persistently invited her to church events. Tami finally attended a Christmas play in December 2006, where she felt God’s presence so powerfully that she knew she was home. She took the membership class and was baptized in February 2007.

Tami has a heart for the greeting ministry, where she finds joy in welcoming others to church with a smile, handshake, or hug. In her free time, she enjoys hiking to waterfalls, spending time with family, and participating in 5k fun runs.

Some of her favorite things include the book Worthy, the book of Philippians, street tacos, and frosted brownies, Christian music, especially MercyMe and Micah Tyler. Her favorite TV show is Elsbeth, and she fondly remembers riding horses with friends and family during her childhood. She loves visiting Ocean Shores and dining at El Toro. While she still misses the Seattle Sonics, her grandkids’ laughter brings her the greatest joy.
