Saul Rescued Israel (1 Samuel 11-13)
Read & Discuss
The American Bison is the largest mammal in North America, weighing up to 2,000 pounds! Impressive. And the way the bison protect one another is even more amazing. When danger is near, the herd circles around young and weaker bison to protect them. The herd sticks together to keep every member safe! When the Ammonite army surrounded the people of Jabesh, Saul gathered men from across Israel and Judah to protect and fight – Jabesh was saved. God used Saul, but Saul struggled to obey God and didn’t wait for Samuel, trying to make an offering reserved just for the priests. Saul would be replaced with another king, a man after God’s own heart. God’s ultimate rescue is for us sinners, by God’s Son Jesus, who saves us from our sin when we believe in Him! We worship Jesus as the King of all kings!

Prayer
Thank God for sending Jesus as the King over all kings. Praise God for two ways that Jesus is the perfect King. Jesus served by giving His life. Decide one way to serve a neighbor and do that.
