Emotions
Several weeks ago, Gail and I were preparing dinner for a family get-together only to discover that we were missing a key ingredient for the meal. So, I jumped into the car (Gail’s car…) and made my way to the grocery store.
As I pulled into the parking lot, a car suddenly backed out of a parking spot and crunched into the car (Gail’s car…). I was of course bummed that this happened, but I initially felt a gracious calm come over me as I figured we would just exchange insurance information, and the damage could easily get repaired. Everything was fine for about five seconds, until the driver of the other car attempted to flee the scene.

5 Lies
What would you think, and how would you react, if you heard someone announce what is being called five lies of our Anti-Christian age? Stunned? Wrong? Surprised? Over the top? Outrageous? Unloving? What is your reaction? Rosaria Butterfield just released a provocative book that calls for the church to repent of five common lies about sexuality, faith, our culture and churches today.

Soooo.....why are you worried?
by Mac Hoover, ElderSooo… Why are you worried?
In Philippians 4:6, Paul says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” And then in Philippians 4:19, he gives the delivering promise of future grace: “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

What to Do When You Don’t FEEL Like It
As you and I know very well, feelings come and go, and they love to take charge in virtually every realm of life. As you and I also know, allowing feelings to dictate your life generates self-inflicted pain and is the wrong way to live. Life is fun when feelings are positive, but miserable when they are not pleasing to God.So how do we respond?
