Life and Judgement
On Sunday, our passage led us to consider Jesus’ words about “Life and Judgment.” Not only does Jesus speak more about judgment and hell than anyone else in Scripture, but nearly every time He speaks about heaven, judgment is part of the conversation.

I recently read this sad quote from Woody Allen at age 86: “I don’t want to achieve immortality through my work; I want to achieve immortality through not dying. I don’t want to live on in the hearts of my countrymen; I want to live on in my apartment.”
Jesus said, “because I live, you will live also” (John 14:19b). He also said, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10b).
