Two weeks ago, I had the privilege—along with more than 25 others from Christ’s Church—of attending the annual Care Net Light & Life Fundraising Lunch & Dinner. This year’s featured speaker was the dynamic Dr. William Lile, known nationwide as “The Prolife Doc.” In 1999, Dr. Lile took over what had been the largest abortion-providing practice in Pensacola. On his very first day, he ended all abortion services and referrals. Today, he uses that same equipment—not for destruction, but as powerful educational tools to expose the reality of abortion and to advocate for life with compassion, truth, and grace.

It is not because of the existence of life-killing organizations like Planned Parenthood who claim that abortion is only a tiny part of what they do when the facts clearly say otherwise (latest annual report states: adoption referrals–2,667; abortions–354,871).

It is not because of the life-denying statements that many of our public leaders have made this past week:
